I'd already spoken to the Ford dealer I bought my secondhand 2000 model Ka from, and they told me that Ford did not list the replacement facia. I rang another Ford dealership today and was told the same thing. I rang the Ford customer support number, and was told that I had to contact a Ford dealer who would then be able to find the part if it was in fact available in Australia. I couldn't ask Ford direct for info on the part. They couldn't tell me which dealer to ring, as they all offered the same parts and service. I then rang yet another Ford dealer here in South Australia. The guy in spare parts was very helpful, searched the CD database and told me that the part was available, would cost $90something, and would be available within 7 days.

Last night I asked on the Ford Ka Great Britain forum if anyone could find one for me. One of the forum members went to his local dealership and bought the facia and air-mailed it to me (it's on its way to Australia now). Total cost including the PayPal surcharge is AUD$36.95, which I've sent off tonight. I promise never to sledge a Pom ever again!
